Here's the e-mail I sent to our parents today about my 16 week appointment:

Hi Parents!

I had my 16 week doctor appointment this morning. All is well. I've gained 2 pounds total since my first appointment which she said was fine. My blood pressure was excellent. We (Krystle went with me) heard the heartbeat again. She was able to find it right away this time and it was a strong 156 beats per minute. We were even able to hear the baby kick and move - it comes across as static on the Doppler. My next appointment is scheduled for Friday, April 16th at 7:45 am at the Robbinsdale clinic. I'll have my screening ultrasound then and meet with the nurse practitioner. (no OB's come in that early! Ha!)

Love you all,
Kristina

So, want to hear a funny story? Yesterday as I was getting ready for work, I put on my new black maternity pants and a white short sleeve cotton tee. Then I went to my closet and got out a nice black and white button down shirt to wear as well. Guess what! I couldn't button my shirt! It was too tight over my chest (ha!) and belly and was pulling. So, I buttoned it once at the top of my tummy and went to work. It actually didn't look to bad like that. It looked like I buttoned it like that on purpose to be fashionable or something. This morning I struggled to find something to wear as well. I'm glad I bought 3 t-shirts from gapmaternity.com the other day along with a new spring jacket! I'm running out of clothes at an alarming rate now!
