Today marks 24 weeks pregnant! Happy Viable Day Baby Girl! That's right, at 24 weeks, our baby is legally viable outside the womb. This means that (God forbid) something happened to me (car accident or what not) that they would try to deliver and save the baby. And the baby would have a 50% chance of survival! From here on out, the chances of survival just go up as the baby's lungs develop and mature. All her internal organs are now functioning on their own! How amazing.
Other baby news: Kris has taped off the stripe in the baby's room and I'll probably paint that tonight. It's actually going to be blocks that run in a stripe and in each block will be an animal that Kris paints. I think it's going to be SO CUTE!
Also, this week, I bought our first baby clothes. I bought a cute little purple jumper with a purple and pink flowered onesie underneath it. It's so cute! That was newborn (0-3 month) size. Then yesterday, I also bought 2 little polo-type onesies. They are both white and instead of being a regular onesie, they have 3 buttons that go down the front. They were 6-9 and 9-12 month sizes. I now LOVE the Target clearance racks! I got the purple outfit for less than $4 and the two white onesies were less than $3 each! I'm going to have to keep checking those out each time I'm at Target!
That's all that's new for today. Tomorrow morning I have my 24 week appt with the 1 hour glucose tolerance test. I'll post an update again after that.
Grow strong baby girl - and keep kicking! I love that!
Too funny - just as I wrote keep kicking, she did! :)
