Breaking News! Breaking News! Annika cut her first tooth yesterday!!! It's on the bottom center of her mouth. There's just a couple little pokes through her gums. If you run your finger along her gums, you can feel them. This came as a complete surprise yesterday. She hasn't been fussy or crabby. Her sleep patterns haven't been out of the ordinary. She hasn't had a temperature. She's been drooling since she was two months old and she's been chewing on anything that gets near her mouth for months as well. My baby is growing up! Waaaaaa! No more toothless grin! Can I freeze time please? PLEASE?

More milestones - I went shopping yesterday after work at Old Navy. Annika was with me and I didn't want to have to lug her heavy infant carrier around the store. Instead, I took her out of her car seat, got a shopping cart and set her in the front. She sat in the front like a big girl and rode around the store! Her cute little, itty bitty legs were dangling out the front. I had a blanket wrapped around her for extra support but she really didn't need it. She came home with 5 outfits. New Rule - you cut teeth - you get cute summer clothes! They had these adorable cropped pants for babies and they were on sale. Yeah, I know - cropped pants? For babies? But think about it - this summer she'll be crawling and now she won't scrape up her knees or get them all dirty because they'll be covered by pants! But the pants are shorter and cooler! She'll be so adorable!!

I don't think I mentioned it yesterday but at Robyn's on Saturday night, I weighed Annika. Robyn has an infant scale, digital even! Anyway, I needed to change Annika's diaper so I just stripped her down and weighed her. She was 16 pounds 10 ounces! Since most 3-6 month clothing is 12-18 pounds, she's quickly growing out of those. Some of her 3-6 month clothing is 12-16 pounds though. No wonder those don't fit her anymore!
