Fun new things here at our house! First, Annika can now scoot frontwards and backwards. To scoot ahead, she gets on her hands and knees and then pushes with her feet and goes an inch or two forwards. To go backwards, she gets on her hands and knees and pushes with her hands. She doesn't get very far either way but she definitely doesn't end up where she started! She hasn't figured out that her arms and legs move independently yet though. Second, Annika is pretty proficient at rolling over. This is proving difficult now at diaper and clothes changes. Tonight, as I'm trying to get her ready for bed while talking to Kris on the phone, Annika kept rolling onto her tummy. It's a little hard to change a diaper, hold a phone, keep up a conversation, listen to what Kris is saying, hold down the baby, etc. Multi-tasker I am! Third, Kris and I went on a date last night for Valentine's. We had a very nice dinner at Chino Latino. Auntie Krystle and Pierce babysat for us. Basically they came over, put Annika to bed and watched a movie the rest of the time. That's not a bad babysitting gig. Fourth, I got a hair cut on Saturday and had some bangs cut in! I haven't had bangs since oh, like the 8th grade! They're long bangs so I pretty much just sweep them to the side so they're out of my eyes. I'm still adjusting so I don't know if I like them yet. Oh, and Fifth - Kris and I put some money down on a lot in Shakopee. If all goes well, we'll be building a house and moving in around Annika's first birthday! Yep, lots of news over here!
