Long time, no post! I wonder what got into me! Hold on for a long one then. When we last left our heroine, she was crawling, standing and not sleeping through the night. Since then...nothing has changed. She is still the absolute cutest crawing, standing and not sleeping baby that ever lived, and I'm not biased at all. :) I'm still convinced she's going to be walking by 9 months. Her balance is getting better all the time. We have some video of her now too. I'm so happy we bought a video camera. Now I don't have to worry so much about forgetting each stage. I'll be able to replay it when I want!

Last week was Aunt Carrie's birthday. Happy Belated Birthday Aunt Carrie! We'll have a present for you when you come visit in a couple weeks. We can't wait to see you!!!

On Friday, we had our cabinet and electrical walk through at our house. We moved a couple outlets and light switches, confirmed where we want our lights placed and made our cabinet selections. We've upgraded our cabinets to 8' tall since we have 9' ceilings on the main level. There's no need to waste all that space! But I still have room to display things. They were about 75% done shingling our roof when we were there on Friday. Problem was they were the wrong color shingles! Yesterday (Monday) they removed the wrong shingles and the correct shingles arrived. They should be shingling this week with the correct ones. Also, all the windows but 2 were in. The plumbing is done and the electrical is being wired today. Before we know it they'll be to sheetrock! Uh-oh! We need an offer on our house pronto or they'll stop work at sheetrock. Somebody, please, buy my townhouse!! We're having another open house on Saturday. Of course, seeing how our lives are so busy, we already have plans for that time! Never a dull moment around here!

Saturday, was Cousin Rachel's wedding. I wish it had been warmer since Annika had the cutest little yellow daisy dress to wear. As it was, it was cool and she had to keep her sweater on the whole time. Oh well. She was still adorable and there was lots of attention paid to her by the relatives. I have yet to download the pictures off the camera but I'll try and do that tonight. Look for an update to the photo album tomorrow. Great Grandma Shirley commented that Annika has red in her hair. And she does, especially when the sunlight hits it. This pleased Great Grandma Shirley to no end since she's almost 100% Irish.

Annika has a little temper on her. If she's not getting her way, she wrinkles her nose and "snorts" through it. We laugh at her and do it back to her but really she's mad at us about something. She's also the sweetest little girl who loves to cuddle and give "kisses".

As I alluded to above, Annika does not sleep through the night. She's not even close. She sleeps usually 2-4 hours at a time but the last few nights she's been up every 1-2 hours. I have a book with some great recommendations for helping babies sleep longer without resorting to crying it out. We're going to give some of those ideas a try. She may also be teething or going through a growth spurt. She's still my precious. I wuv her. :) Also, I have to keep in mind that not all babies sleep through the night when under a year old. My cousin, Stacy's, son just started sleeping through the night at 14 months old. It will come - all in due time. :)
