Once again, it's been a while since I posted. I will try and update more often. I'm also going to try and upload a bunch of pictures tonight.

Annika is starting to say a lot more consonances. Saturday, she started saying da-da-da-da and dee-dee-dee-dee. Then she would string them together and say da-da-da-da-dee-dee-dee-dee. Right in the middle, Kris would say, “She said Daddy!” Kidding, of course, because while she technically did say “da-dee,” she doesn’t know she’s saying “daddy” yet.

Annika is also doing very well with balance. She can go from standing to squatting to standing again when holding on to something with one hand. I have even seen her stand and squat while not holding on to anything but she hasn’t stood back up again then. She can also stand while not holding on to anything for a good 10-20 seconds before toppling over or sitting down. One of these days, she’s just going to take off and leave the crawling behind for good.

Once again, we had a busy weekend. Saturday, we cleaned the house to get ready for the open house we were having that afternoon. Then, Kris and Annika went to play with Uncle Dusty and Aunt Kim while I got a facial and hair cut. Late that afternoon, we went to Mommy’s cousin Laura’s graduation party. We got to see lots of family that day! Yesterday was a hectic day. Annika slept in late (9am!) so I slept in with her. Then we had to leave the house quickly for a 10am showing. Too bad they cancelled the showing at 10:15am and rescheduled for 5pm. We arrived back home a little after 11am to find this out. Oh well, we all had a nice breakfast out together anyway. Then, Annika and I laid down for a nap together and didn’t wake up until 12:55pm when Daddy woke us! We again had to get up and leave quickly for a 1pm showing! Daddy went to work and Annika and I went to our 2nd play date with Mommy’s work friends. It was at Lisa and Emma’s house and Michelle and Brianna and Robyn and Jessica (and big brother Gavin) were there. Annika had a great time. I will post pictures soon. After the play date was over, Annika and I met Daddy at Uncle Dusty and Aunt Kim’s house where we celebrated Uncle Dusty’s promotion! Yay Uncle Dusty! Annika was worn out by 7pm (must have been all that playing!) so we headed for home shortly after so she could go to bed.
