Sometimes Annika is such a manipulative little thing. She knows that if she says she has to go potty, that we will always listen to her and take her to the bathroom. The past week or so at bedtime, she tells me, through the baby monitor, that she has to go potty 3-4 times. The first couple times she might manage to squeeze something out but the last 1-2 times she usually doesn't. She just sits there, swinging her legs. That's when I tell her that this is the last time and now it's time to go to sleep. Usually she tries one more time and I have to go in there and tell her it's bed time - no more potty tonight. Then, she'll go to sleep. She does this at nap time too Kris says. Today she had to go 3-4 times before she would settle down and take a nap. She does wake us up occasionally during the night too to tell us she has to go potty. Then, she does actually have to go and we bound out of bed to help her. OK, bound might be stretching it, but one of us always gets up to help her. She's still in diapers at night but I'm thinking that when we run out, it might be time to do the night time training.
And now I'm off to take a jacuzzi bath. I have a knot in my lower back that's been bothering me for a few days. First I'll let the jets work on it and then Kris has promised a massage. Whee!
